When my cousin Alex and his fiancée Katie came to me wanting to surprise their guests and family with a special first dance, I immediately called my sister in to help. I started by cutting together five songs that the couple chose. Then I choreographed a three-minute dance and prepared to teach them. Over the course of two months, we had three one-hour Zoom practices. The couple practiced a lot on their own, too! This dance starts as a slow first dance song and then transitions into an upbeat ditty with a record scratch.
