How I know the couple: The bride Mackenzie was an old friend from church/ youth group and a fellow Aggie!

Let me tell you about this incredible Friday morning drive to Bethel Rock in Leonard, Texas. The scenery was simply breathtaking, and it set the tone for an unforgettable day. As soon as I arrived, I checked in with the radiant bride and her amazing mom, ready to dive into my checklist. Decor? Check. Vendor texts? Check. Wedding party check-ins? Double check.
I have to give a shoutout to the bride because she was the epitome of organization. She had a binder that could rival any encyclopedia, filled with all the information I could ever need. With her guidance, we set up everything according to her vision, and as vendors started arriving, the energy of the day began to pick up.
We kicked things off with first looks for the bridal party, capturing those precious moments of anticipation and excitement. From there, we moved on to first touches and family portraits, making sure to capture the love and connections that make weddings so special. And then, it was time for the ceremony.
But wait, before we proceed, let’s talk about the cocktail hour. It needed to be set up before the ceremony, so the house party and I took charge, heading over to arrange a mouthwatering charcuterie spread for a whopping 200 people. Yes, you heard that right—I meticulously cut and arranged that delectable feast by hand for an entire hour earlier in the day. Dedication at its finest!
Back to the ceremony. We lined everyone up, ready to start this unforgettable moment. But wouldn’t you know it, one of the groomsmen decided to make a grand entrance of his own by running late. Typical, right? We couldn’t wait any longer, so I had to make a game-time decision. Thankfully, he showed up just in the nick of time, boutineere intact. Crisis averted!
The ceremony itself was pure magic. Well, almost. There was a slight mishap when the pastor forgot to bring the Bible down the aisle. But fear not! I seized the opportunity during the prayer (when everyone’s eyes were closed) to dart around and deliver the missing book. Talk about being in the right place at the right time!
With the ceremony concluded, we sent everyone off to enjoy a delightful cocktail hour in the courtyard while we embarked on capturing the precious memories of the wedding party and family through photographs. As it turns out, those photos took a bit longer than expected, but hey, flexibility is the name of the game. We shuffled the schedule around, ensuring everything stayed on track.
Then, it was time for the grand entrance of the couple. We closed the doors and turned off the air to create a dreamy atmosphere, allowing them to have a special dance on a cloud. It was a moment of pure enchantment and romance, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
From there, we smoothly transitioned into the other first dances, making sure the couple had everything they needed. I played the role of their personal concierge, ensuring their table was stocked with refreshing beverages, their favorite drinks, and an array of delectable food. Speeches were delivered, touching hearts and bringing smiles to everyone’s faces.
As the sun began to set, we led the party to the dance deck, where the real celebration began. Glow sticks were passed out, and the dance floor ignited with energy and joy. I prepared and unwrapped hundreds of sparklers for the grand sendoff, lining everyone up for that unforgettable moment. We bid the couple farewell, surrounded by a sea of shimmering light.
But wait, the night wasn’t over just yet. I made sure to take care of all the vendors, ensuring they received their well-deserved.
