Some weddings feel special from the very start, and Claire and Henrik’s celebration was one of them. After exchanging vows in Norway, the place they now call home, they returned to Texas over Thanksgiving to celebrate with their American family and friends. It was the perfect blend of cozy holiday energy, heartfelt joy, and the sweetest reunion with people who have loved them for years.
Planning this wedding carried an extra layer of meaning for me because I have known Claire since we were kids. Our families grew up side by side, which made every moment of this process feel personal. Helping her bring her second celebration to life was one of those full circle experiences that reminds you why creating events for people you love is such an honor.
This wedding was also a testament to teamwork, quick decisions, and incredible vendor partners who stepped in when we needed them most. The original venue unexpectedly closed, and we had to secure a new location within one month. Not long after, the bakery shut down for the entire month of the wedding, and we had to source a new cake baker too. Every challenge brought another reminder that the right people always show up at the right time. Together we pulled off a beautiful day filled with warmth, color, happy tears, and a whole lot of gratitude.
Claire and Henrik’s Texas wedding was joyful and meaningful, but more than anything it was a celebration of home. Home in Norway. Home in Texas. Home in the hearts of the people who love them most. And being a part of both their planning and their story will forever be one of my favorite memories.
